Freelance senior accountant needed for a short-term, temporary, more than two month, partially remote job responsible for coordinating and analyzing data, performing end-of-month tasks, preparing returns, conducting audits. 

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
• Verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation.
• Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings.
• Communicates audit findings by preparing a final report; discussing findings with auditees.
• Prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Job Description

The Lead Quality Auditor manages a team of Internal Quality Auditors in the performance of internal audits, ensuring that internal audits comply with applicable standards, regulations, and guidance (e.g., ISO 19011) and that resulting reports are fair, impartial, and useful. The Lead Auditor is also responsible for selecting competent internal auditors and providing the auditors with information and other resources they need to carry out the quality audit.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production processes for compliance with quality requirements
• Assist in development of audit plans, audit schedules
• Participate in quality audits (and lead a team of quality auditors, when needed)
• Identify processes, situations, etc., where organization is meeting requirements, as well as identify opportunities for improvement
• Assist audit team in developing audit reports; present audit reports to top management, as needed
• Assist with follow-up audits, as required
• May be required to develop internal auditing/testing parameters

Job Description

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) auditors are responsible for ensuring that the production systems and processes of manufacturing firms comply with ISO standards. They must conduct surveillance and assessment of these firms, and report any non-conformity in audit reports. ISO auditors also make necessary recommendations to help the system operate in compliance with required ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Issue audit quotes and invoices

• Provide audit schedule to clients who order audits
• Conduct meetings with a client organization
• Conduct a tour of the company and inspect the facility to detect non-conformities, especially in the production zone and in the waste generation points
• Review and study company documentation including audit reports
• Conduct interviews with key staff
• Prepare audit report based on findings which specifically mentions anomalies and non-conformities in the system, and rates the degree of severity of the problem
• Recommend modifications to enable the system to comply with ISO standards

Requirements

• A lead auditor must have experience in applying ISO principles, procedures and techniques in the auditing of a management system.
• They might also have quality assurance certification in a particular industry, such as aerospace or automobile manufacturing. There's no prescribed minimum number of years necessary before an auditor can become a lead auditor.
• The next thing a candidate needs to become the lead auditor is to pass the Certified Lead Auditor exam.
• The lead auditor will need to acquire an in-depth understanding of the organization, its management structure and how they relate to the Management System.

Job Description

Workplace safety and health (WSH) auditing organisations can add WSH auditors to their approved personnel. Each organisation must employ at least 3 WSH auditors.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits to comply to ISO9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, Bizsafe Standards at client’s site
• Review and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management activities.
• Review and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of safe work procedures.
• Review audit scopes and audit programs for execution by audit team to ensure objectives are met.
• Develop checklist to ensure compliance to workplace safety policies

Requirements

• WSH Level D
• Registered Safety Officer
• Degree / Diploma in related discipline in QEHS
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience
• Familiar with local QEHS regulatory requirements
• Completion of IRCA / IEMA approved lead auditor course would be a bonus (ISO 9001 / OHSAS18001/ ISO 14001).
• Experience in conducting training, consultancy or audit of management systems ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18000.
