The Certification Cycle is the procedure used to manage an organization's audit requirements.

When assessing a certified organization's continued compliance with a predetermined standard, is accountable for seeing that strict criteria are followed because it is an accredited certification authority (for example, ISO 9001). A Re-certification Audit and two Surveillance Audits must be completed by the auditors over the course of three years in order to accomplish this.
One year after a business has its certificate, the cycle starts with a Re-certification Audit. Two surveillance audits come next.
