ISO External Audit 

An ISO audit is a review of your organization's adherence to one of the International Organization for Standardization's standards (ISO).
An audit compares the systems of your business to every ISO standard; in addition to ensuring compliance, some standards can also be ISO certified by independent audits.

ISO audits are crucial for a number of reasons, including the ability to determine whether you are achieving ISO compliance criteria and reveal operational weaknesses that can help you create the best risk management approach.

Third-party auditors undertake external audits to evaluate an organization's ISO compliance. Since many ISO standards call for compliance by all parties involved in the supply chain, there are a few different kinds of external audits, including audits of customers and suppliers. The terms "External audit" also refer to certification and surveillance audits.
