Many standards are certified by ISO, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018. Certification calls for an external audit by a registered third-party auditor. Although certification might be time-consuming and expensive in the beginning, it lasts for three years and can considerably improve your reputation; some clients also want or prefer ISO certification.
How Much Time Does It Take to Obtain ISO Certification:
Your organization's level of preparation, specific needs, and scale will determine how long it takes to become ISO certified.
Preparation for your certification audit should however take at least 3-6 months. Numerous internal audits will be conducted during those months of preparation, as well as audits of customers and suppliers.
