The International Organization for Standardization is known by the initials ISO. The organization issues certificates based on adherence to these standards and publishes best practices that can be applied to and modified for basically any business.
The most recent document that describes the requirements for an EHS management system is called ISO 14001:2015. The three main objectives of ISO 14001:2015 are to provide you with a system that will:

Improving environmental performance
Maintain your adherence to environmental laws
Setting and achieving objectives for environmental improvement

It’s important to note that you can choose to follow ISO 14001:2015 exactly or apply the corridor that meets your current capabilities. still, you can only claim to be ISO certified by following the entire 14001:2015 guidelines and having checkups done by pukka ISO adjudicators. If you’re just looking for guidance on starting or perfecting your environmental operation system we recommend looking at ISO 14001:2015 but don’t try to attack it all at formerly.
