WHAT IS INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM?

  • An Integrated Management System (IMS) refers to the flawless integration of several different norms into a common system that meets the conditions of each of the norms.
  • This allows the enterprise to work as a single unit with unified objects.
  • The norms being integrated along with their position of integration need to be easily considered and defined.
  • Generally, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 are integrated into one system but it isn't limited to just these norms.
  • Companies should look for similarities between the different management system approaches when choosing which ones to apply together, e.g. Plan- Do- Check-Act Approach to operation and process control.
  • Any measure taken should be compatible with the introductory ideal of the system, specifically, does it help in achieving the business plan, and do they suit the size and complexity of the organization. One should suppose precisely before establishing considerably proved procedures in case they don't align with the organizational culture and practices.
  • The integration of an IMS can have a considerable impact on how an organization operates and manages its business processes.
