An ISO Audit

An ISO audit is a procedure used by businesses to assess, affirm, and verify procedures relating to the caliber, security, and safety of their goods and services in order to make sure the management system has been properly put into place.

The goals of an ISO audit are as follows:

To determine whether your organization's standards, rules, procedures, and implementation requirements are appropriate.

To make sure that processes are applied consistently.

To assess your organization's strengths and weaknesses and to create critical procedures and working environments.

To operate by legal and regulatory standards

To fulfill market demands or client requirements.

THIRD-PARTY AUDIT:

A certification audit is another term for a third-party audit. The auditors of a certification body always conduct this audit. The goal of this audit process is to help your company become ISO certified to the applicable ISO standard by a recognized certification authority. A recognized accreditation body must also accredit the certification body.

Typically, certification audits are conducted in two stages. Depending on the certification body, one of the prerequisites for a certification audit is proof that the organization has been using a management system for at least two to six months.
